Why am I special?
While all animals are special, the animals featured on this page are special because they have a special need such as a quiet home, on-going medical care, or possibly a home without children.
As is often the case with special needs animals, many have been waiting a long time for a home. Please take a moment to see if you feel you might be able to provide that home.
Please feel free to contact or visit PAWS for additional information.
Winkin
Winkin is a lovely tabby looking for a quiet home. She’s been at PAWS since she was a kitten and has difficulty coping with a change of environment. She will need someone with the patience to earn her trust. She’s shy and hides but will come out and sniff you when your back is turned—so we know she wants to make friends. She just needs time and love.

Goofy
This is Goofy, a 2 year old dog whose attitude lives up to his name. He can be a great dog but can also have a bit of a snappy problem! He would do best in a home with no small children! He is OK with other dogs and seems to do OK with cats. He was abused in his last home so with some TLC he could very well be a great dog. Goofy is housebroken, current on shots, and neutered. If you think you can help turn this guy around please contact us.
